Export transient near field in FDTD solver

I would like to get the transient time domain E and H fields at a set of observation points specified in the near field. In the attached model I specified near field observation points and exported the fields (.efe,.hfe files) but the it is in in frequency domain. Is there a way in feko FDTD solver to get the near fields at each time step?

The output results are by default in the frequency domain, even though it is solved in the time domain.

The results can then be viewed in the time-domain using the post-processor POSTFEKO. See Example Guide example "G.1 Effect of Incident Plane Wave on an Obstacle Using Time Analysis" where the near fields are shown in the time domain.

You must solve the model with sufficient bandwidth and frequency stepping so that the chosen time signal in the post-processor can be properly represented.

    Hi Mel,

The example G.1 is very useful to understand how to generate time domain fields, but is there a way to export the time domain near fields? I exported the .efe and .hfe file using the method shown below

but the fields are in frequency domain. Is there a way in feko get the time domain near fields?

Have you tried "to file *.dat" from right-clicking on the graph?
