Number of contacts vs time graph

I have plotted the Number of contacts vs time.
The time step is 4.5e-8 but I saved data every 0.01 s.
I want to know if the graph shows all contacts or just those on every 0.01s.
If it saves data in saving intervals, Does it mean that some data is missed?
I can't save data every timestep because it is too small. Is there any other way to see all the contact data?
What about collision data? (I activated the track collisions)

Thank you in advance,
Fatemeh

    Hi Fatemeh,

I'm afraid that if you are saving your data every 0.01 seconds, you will only get data on the contacts every 0.01.

The best alternative would be to use selective save in the simulator, and increase the save frequency for partial saves (for example every 0.001 seconds save contact data and deactivate all other saves. (you can set what data you want to save with selective save, and will still have full data saves every 0.01 seconds or any other frequency).

    Hopefully this helps.

    Kind regards

Activate collision data too in selective save, if you want collision data to save with the same frequency as selective save.
