HyperStudy RuntimeError (Optimization Approach, Create .xls/.xlsx Report)

Hi,

I am attempting to create a report from an Optimization approach in HyperStudy - specifically a .xls/.xlsx spreadsheet - and encounter the error:

> Error : RuntimeError: No item with that varname found in Collection ( r_ratioKEIE_DTV )

In this case, "r_ratioKEIE_DTV" is associated with the objective function and looks like it was generated when I added a "goal" to the variable r_ratioKEIE (it is not actually in the output response/data source/constraint/goal list of variables). I don't really need the data associated with it - I'm more interested in some of the other output responses I defined - but it is preventing me from creating the report (a .xls/.xlsx file is created, but it is empty).

Is there any way to specify the data to be exported in the report or to skip exporting this specific data so that I can still have access to the other data?

Let me know if you require any clarification.

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hello,

Can you please send us the archive? File --> Export --> *.hstx

    Hello,

    Hi

It seems like the file is quite large - I've run a number of DoEs in addition to the Optimization within the same Study. Do you know of any way to reduce the file size (e.g. only exporting the Optimization)?

I'll continue to try to export and upload the .hstx file in the meantime.

    Hi,

You can try to export archive in hstxc format without including data and model files. Normally the file will be smaller.

    Hi,

I was able to export a .hstxc file of reasonable size by only selecting "Run Directories" from the Custom Archive Pop-up, but in attempting to upload the file I receive the error that the file type is not supported. Since the .hstx file is much too large for upload, I am not sure how to provide you with the archive...

    Hello,

Could you please to upload a *.zip?

    Hello,

Could you please to upload a *.zip?

    Awesome, .zip seems to work!

It's of the .hstxc file since even a .zip of the .hstx is much too large...

    Hello,

I've been able to reproduce the error when generating Spreadsheet Report only. No issue with the other reports. I'll check internally and come back to you.

Yes, you are right that r_ratioKEIE_DTV is created internally.

Initially your request is to get the data of all evaluations and/or iterations, is that correct? If yes, you can use HyperStudy data report, or just select the rows in Iteration History tab and copy/paste in Excel (using the labels).

The Knowledge Studio .xlsx report also provides a sheet with all input, outputs, goals like this:

    Does this work for you?

    Hope it helps.

    Regards,

Yeah, it seems the issue is only with the .xls/.xlsx file. For me, it does create a file, but it is completely blank.

Yes - I am looking to obtain the data from all of the evaluations/iterations. Copy and paste does work - I was not aware that this was possible - thank you for the tip!

I'm not sure what you mean by a HyperStudy data report or Knowledge Studio .xlsx report - could you clarify?

Same for me the file is blank.

I mean the reports selected on the image below. The Knowledge Studio report creates Excel sheet as well.

    Regards,

Oh, I see! I think your HyperStudy must be a newer version - I only have the following options in the Report stage:

    - HyperStudy Data

    - HyperStudy HTML

    - HyperWorks Session

    - Knowledge Studio Text

    - HyperStudy Fit

    - HyperStudy Spreadsheet

How does the .data file get read/opened?

    Hello,

    I'm using HyperStudy 2021.0 version.

I have update information concerning the issue you entountered with Spreadsheet report in Optimization approach. Normally it will work in the next HyperStudy 2021.1 version (coming soon).

Thanks for using HyperStudy and providing feedback!
