Creation of Fixed Particle walls

Hello All,

I am trying to develop a simple shear test simulation, but I want to set the particles as a wall. Does EDEM have this feature?

You can create 'fixed velocity' particles, it's shown in page 5 of this tutorial:

Potentially you could also create the wall as a meta-particle (which are also shown in the tutorial) or using a lattice factory.

Hi Saeed,

My preffered approach is to use a geometry to create a static particle boundary layer. This makes life much simpler. Please see attached guide on modelling a direct shear test in EDEM along with an example and edempy post-processing tools.
