FDTD solution did not converge

Hello,

I am using FDTD as the solver to view some time domain responses from my 890 MHz antenna. I am receiving an error at around 90% of the simulation time. The error reads as 'FDTD solution did not converge'. I have attached the design file (.cfx file) and the .out file to view the error message and to find any other helpful information. If someone can kindly help me understand and fix this error, that would be really useful.

Thanks a lot,

Best,

Kalyan Durbhakula

You would need to increase the total time interval - the model converges, just very slowly.
The .out file will show the current value. Maybe use 5x or 10x that value.

However, this will increase the run time. Since the model is not very large, why not use the default solver with frequency interpolation?

This solves in a few minutes.

    Attached the cfx.

    Hello Mel,

I have used MoM solver and obtained good frequency domain results but not satisfied with IFFT operation. Therefore, I wanted to use FDTD directly.

I will get back to you after trying your 'increase the total time interval' suggestion. Thank you.
