Specifying Control Cards for Nastran Solver

A couple of questions.

1. Firstly, the new Equivalence function is very slow in v2023. I have imported a hex model which has a little higher elements count. Upon activating Equivalence command -> Review, HM2023 takes a long time (the cursor circle just keeps on spinning) & eventually I'll have to terminate the application. The same solver deck in Patran gets equivalenced instantly. I used to equivalence in previous HM/HW version using Tools->Edges->Preview/Equivalence and it was very fast.

2. How do I generate Control Cards, PARAM Cards etc., in the new HM2023? Again in previous version, I was able to do it conveniently using Panels.

    Hello @Burner2k ,

regarding Equivalence, do you confirm you got better performances with previous versions, or are you comparing to Patran only? Also, did you make sure the node tolerance in the preferences was aligned with your mesh size?

For the card creation, you should be able to create any card from the Model Browser through a right click anywhere -> Create -> Card

    Does that help?

    Best Regards,

    Michael
