Hello,

Is there any good step-step tutorials for how to set up solver deck for Nastran from HM? I was able to create a Loadstep Collector and was able to include various output requests, specify type of analysis and create few ECHO+PARAM statements but when I try to run the same using MSC Nastran solver, I got a few errors about INCLUDE statements and such.

Hoping people here can point a good tutorial for me.

THx

    Hi,

There is only one tutorial available in Help on HyperMesh-Nastran interface and the same is attached for your reference.

But, we do have many tutorials for OptiStruct User Profile. OptiStruct deck is similar to Nastran .bdf file and uses the same card details and deck format. It is easy to prepare a deck for OptiStruct using HM compared to Nastran user profile.

Thanks for the pdf document & reply.  Unfortunately, I'll have to use Nastran solver due to contractual requirements.

    Hello,

Thanks George for that pdf document. Was able to successfully run a HM created Nastran deck in the solver.

As mentioned above, you can go to HyperMesh help, and go to 'tutorials' section, under Solver Interface Tutorials, Nastran, to create a model for Nastran.

Also, as OptiStruct has a similar structure for most cases, you might also take a look at OptiSturct tutorials section.
