Translate Nodes of Shells in Offset direction

Hi, I have a short question:

Is it possible to translate nodes automatically in the direction of a defined offset in that way, that I get a shell without offest but relocated nodes.

For example: Shell t=5mm and offset=2.5mm. (the nodes are on the outer Side of the "Element").

Result: t=5mm and offset=0 but Nodes translated to the half of the "element" / Midplane).

I know, offset is easy to use and works fine. But in my case I have to avoid the offset option.

Greetings and thanks

    Hello Arne,

may I ask you for the reason why you cannot use Offset your your specific use case? Indeed, our rst guess when reading (moving nodes along normal direction) would have been Offset.

    Best Regards,

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

I have a very old script (outside of Hypermesh) which can read positions of nodes of the shell but no offset. And I do not want to change the workflow. If there were a simple way within Hypermesh which I do not see/know, It would have been very nice.

By the way, the shell geometry is not only a simple plane and a lot more elements. :-(

    Greetings and thanks
