I have to compute the back-scattering cross section of an ellipsoid using near field result (the electric and magnetic field). I used a formula is based on a thesis called A Microwave Scattering Model for An Electrically Dense Discrete Random Medium by Hong Tat Ewe. The formula is 10log10(4xpix(E_theta x H_phi)x intrinsic impedance)). I apologize if the formula is not clear since I am unable to upload the image of the formula. However, the formula is not applicable for the near field result from the FEKO. The formula is only applicable for the far field value.

Can I know what are the formulations that were used to generate the near field data in FEKO?

Thank you.
