I want to calculate the power factor of a magnet synchro machine with FE. Is it possible with 2D flux?

    Hello Walid,

You can compute the power factor as cosine of angle between input current and voltage of phases.

    Thank you,

    Lavanya

how to supply voltage if a speed is imposed?

I am assuming that you have simulated the PMSM motor with current sources as in below picture.

Replace the current sources with voltage sources in the circuit. With this you will have voltage as input to phases.

If you want to give sinusoidal voltage as input, you can give voltages as Vmax*Sin(wt+phaseshift) for all three phases.

To define the frequency in w,  take a look at "Motor performance at constant speed" in Readme document of Brushless IPM motor tutorial in Flux2D.
