Scattering due to longitudinal wave

Dear Moderator (or Reader),

I am curious is there is a way to simulate the scattering due to a longitudinal wave in FEKO (direction or k-vector and polarization vector are oriented in the same direction)?

It seems that FEKO only provides the plane (transverse) wave source.

From a MoM perspective, there is no fundamental difference between solving the system for any of the two abovementioned excitations. The k- and E-field vector orientation only affects the magnitude and phase distribution of the incoming wave along the surface of the element. In other words, the upgrade to a longitudinal source should be quite cheap and straightforward.

Regards,

Tomislav

Unfortunately this is not available in Feko.
