Element nodal force data does not exist

Dear community,

I applied a displacement to a cube and I want to obtain the resulting forces of all nodes in a displayed area. I tried in Hyperview Tools -> Extract summed node force/moments-Ansys, but the error: Element nodal force data does not exist; always pops up...

Please find the Hypermesh model in the attachment. I already tried various control cards, in addition to the guide from altair "Calculating total nodal forces and moments" but the error keeps poping up. Is there an alternative to obtain the summed forces in Z-direction? What am I doing wrong?

Please help!

This is Ansys? Not familiar with Ansys and its default outputs but for OptiStruct you need to request GPFORCE in the GLOBAL_OUTPUT_REQUEST card to get the node force data.

Ok, I just want to export the node forces for a sample of elements. Thats why I tried the approach to export it as CSV file, with Tools -> Extract summed node force/moments-Ansys.

Is there a way in OptiStruct, for recieving all the node forces for a displayed sample of elements? With the global output request gpfoce, I get it for the whole body, and I can't adjust for which part of the body I want the node forces.

You can callout a set in the gpforce card.  So if you create a set of the desired nodes you can use that.

Also you should be able to use the query table to select certain nodes and export the results just for those nodes.
