Hi Everyone,

I was performing rupture analysis using M2-John-Zeril Card Image Material . I have made Rbe2 rigid element in optistruct and after switching to radioss it has converted the rigid to RBODY automatically. So, I have doubt that :

1. I have to convert/update all RBODY back it into RBe2 element in RADIOSS Or it will work ?

2. Or, I have recreate the RBODY elements.

As so far so now, I have selected and updated all the automatically created RBODY element into Rbe2 Element. But, error was encountered

    Hi Sudhanshu Kashyap

RBE s are Rigid Body Elements. These are basically used to connect a single node to multiple nodes.

RBE2 formulation consists of one independent node and one or more dependent node(s). The dependent node(s) follow the motion of the Independent node in the degrees of Freedom that have been linked. These elements are useful to welds  two dissimilar meshes.  RBE2 elements induce stiffness to the model.

RBODY is also defined by a master node and its associated slave nodes. Mass and inertia can be added to the initial master node location

So depending upon your application to have to use Rbody and Rbe2. In your case you can delete those elements and create new RBE2 elements

Check Radioss reference guide to know more in detail about RBE2 and Rbody
