Possible Data Loss when using EDEM API at a certain amount of generated particles

Hello there,

I've been working on simulating wheatstubbles. For simulating the stubbles i've generated a meta particle and then bonding it with using a custom bonding modell via API. The bonded stubble meta particle is also bonded with soil particle with are generated afterwards. But depending on how many soil particles I generate, I get the error "possible data loss" during the calculation and the calculation crashes. With a soil particle quantity of 17.5 kg, the calculation runs correctly. But with a particle quantity of 30 kg, for example, the calculation is cancelled. The last available time step is then the one directly before the soil-soil bonds are generated.

I have attached all the files for this question.

Best regards

HE

According to Debugging in Visual Studio theres an Stack Overflow Error (0xC00000FD) when saving the first full timestep after the Bonds are generated (updated to status 1).

    Hi Hendrik,

Which version of EDEM are you using? I rand you case on Windows using EDEM 2024.0 and it runs OK, even changing the total mass to 30 kg.

    Regards

Hi Hendrik, can you try with 2024, it looks to me like it's working OK in the latest version.
