Is there a way to export the basis functions (RWG) and scalar basis function solutions from a MoM solution?

Hi,

I study scattering problems where we utilize MoM to solve the EFIE, MFIE, and CFIE. Following the standard approach of using the RWG basis functions based on triangle edges, the goal is to obtain the scalar basis function coefficients. In turn, you can find the current along each triangle element, calculate the radiation pattern, etc.

From my understanding, the FEKO MoM solver follows a much more advanced but similar approach. In general, having the current along the triangle is sufficient (e.g., to calculate the RCS), but I need the scalar basis function solution (and the respective basis function) for an experiment. Is there a way to export this information from FEKO?

I am trying to tackle a complex problem that my in-house MoM solver can't handle.

Thanks!

Regards,
Ricardo

    Hello Ricardo,

You can set up Feko to save the coefficients (currents) of the basis functions as described in the Feko user guide as below.

You can save the .str file from the following setting in Feko.
