Not able to use FEKO
I have installed the 2021 student version of the Altair sofwtware. As it is stated in the website, I set the ALTAIR_LICENSE_PATH environment variable to point towards the license file which was attached in a mail. Then, I can have access with no problems to the whole WinProp suite (WallMan, TuMan, ProMan...).
However, when it comes to the Feko suite, I am prompted a message which is attached in this message. I have checked and I do not have defined this FEKO_USER_HOME environment variable. I do not know whether this has anything to do with the fact that 2 years ago I had installed in the same computer another version of FEKO, the 2019 one. I do not have the file "2021.1_7b2b83fe", while I have one named "2019.3_393f94db" in the path that it states in that message.
Then, while I can normally have access to WinProp, I can not use FEKO.
I would strongly appreciate if you could help me with this issue.

Hello Christian,
It appears there is some permission issue in the directory FEKO uses to store the user settings. This is untypical and points to some permission problem.
The reason that the other variable is not defined explicitely is not a problem. Also in case the directory dont exist, feko tries to create it. It seems it fails since there is some permission problem.
Can you please just verify that you have read/write permissions to the specified folder "%APPDATA%/feko". You can simply copy this path without the quotes to the windows explorer.
That should take care of the problem hopefully

HI,
Can you do a complete uninstall, delete temporary files in your user profile and do a clean re install of Feko?

Thanks for the reply! I have just tried, and I have made sure I have deleted all files related to Altair before the reinstallation. Unfortunately, the same message is prompted again, although this file does not even exist. I have again checked the environment variables, but there is not any with such name…Rahul Ponginan_22560 said:HI,

Thanks for the help! After changing some of the permissions for my user account, I managed to correctly access to FEKO!
