[Nastran model]: Properties lost after we remesh(F12) some elements of component

Hi All,

I have shell mesh model(Nastran). When I remesh some elements, update mesh still belongs to current comp but the property disappears.

Has any one experience on this issue?

Hi,

normaly attach the properties to the components, not the elements, If the property is attached to the component, new elements has every time this property.

Hi Mario. You are right. I checked in Model/component view and see which comp is direct(elem), which is indirect assignment(comp assignment). However, do you have any suggestion to auto change 'Direct' >> 'Indirect'. I have to update manually thousands of comps which is quite frustrated

You can go to the property panel and then select all the elements and unassign properties assigned to all the elements, then you are left with only properties assigned to the components.

you can then assign remaining components the necessary properties, you can select multiple components to assign properties to components at the same time.
