i have doubt whether to consider the self weight of the component or hypermesh directly calculate it through material properties . (im asking about gravitational weight)
HM calculates mass in the 'mass' panel.
As it is unitless, weight force is your responsibility to calculate.
If you're talking about analysis in OptiStruct, no, by default most of FE solvers do not consider gravity load, unless you specifically add it to your analysis.
For OptiStruct, the loadcollector 'GRAV' takes care of adding acceleration forces to your model.
