How to properly convert units from CAD software to Hyperworks CFD to EDEM?

I'm modeling my geometry in Fusion 360, and the measurements are in orders of millimeters. When I set Hyperworks CFD units to mm, kg, etc. I still get the model in meters instead of millimeters when the .dem file is imported into EDEM. How do I fix this?

Hi Sophia,

There are two considerations for units in EDEM.  First if you have set the display units via Tools > Options > Units and set to meters then the units will always be displayed as meters.

Geometry is essentially scaled on import depending on the original size/units.  You can import manually into EDEM via the EDEM Creator > Geometries > Import Geometry and you get the option to choose the specific units for the geometry there.
