Not getting edges when creating a surface
Hi,
I am trying to create a surface between two circular lines.
But sometimes I am not getting edges of that surface. Instead, I am getting surface as shown below
Further, I want to use these edges to perform washer split. The washer split is not happening
Thanks i advance for any help

Hello @ATLURI BHARATH KUMAR ,
are you looking for washers for 2D mesh or ofor 3D mesh? If you are looking for washers for 2D mesh, then the state of the art method in HyperMesh (either classic or new interface) is the batchmesh/QI optimize, with the use of param and criteria file:

This will prevent you to create washer lines for each hole.

Michael

Hi @Michael Herve, Thanks for the reply
Is there any possibility to resolve this surface edge issue when creating surface manually also?
I am able to resolve using geometry cleanup tolerance as 0.001 to some extent, but not completely..
Thanks in advance

Hello again,
I am not sure to understand how to fix the behavior you are raising as a surface should have edges any time. It should not exist without edges, so if you are not able to see or pick edges, it would be to me rlated to graphical glitches, or the pick-up tolerance. Is your model in millimeters or meters?

Michael
