From CAD bolt how can I generate 3D FE bolt in HyperMesh 2022.2 version

Hi I have a CAD bolt with all the surfaces. I need to detect bolt head diameter, head height, shank length and shank diameter. From which it should generate FE 3D bolt (hex). All the above dimensions should be taken care while modeling 3D bolt.

HM version: 2022.2

I don't know of any direct tool for that in HM.

I'd recommend though SimLab for this king of modeling, as it has pretty nice tools for bolt modeling, and it has also some "libraries" that would make your life much easier.

 

In HM I would think on some script/automation for that. Nut I'd say it is not so straightforward.
