Error Importing CAD files into SIMSOLID

Hello,
I have a STEP file and I tried to import into SIMSOLID but failed. On the status bar, it says "Reading file(s)..." but stuck at 1% for 2 hours now.
I've verified that the STEp file is 214 version which supported by SIMSOLID.
Weird thing is I have an older CAD model in STEP format and I can open it. But after modifying the CAD file and export to new STEP, I can no longer import.
Please do provide assist if any of you have encountered this.
Thank you.

Before loading the CAD, could you try to reset the parasolid reader in Settings/Geometry import settings:
Can you try with and without this option please ?

How about STEP file size? your hardware CPU? RAM?

Thank you for taking time anwering my question.
The STEP file is about 18Mb.
My computer is running on Intel Xeon E5-2667 @ 3.2 GHz & with 32Gb of RAM.
Do you think my computer is struggling to load the STEP file?

Did you try with a newer version of SimSolid (2020.2 is the latest) ?

Yes, I was using the latest version and it won't load.
Then, just to test out, I installed the 2019 version, but it didn't work as well.

18 MB is not so big, but maybe it contains complex geometry.
Your PC hardware is super.
If you can share this STEP, I can try.

I wish I could share the file, unfortunately due to PnC, I couldn't.

FINALLY, I managed to import the STEP file. Here's what I did:
1. Just like you suggested, I unchecked the "Use Parasolid Reader" option. During importing, the progress bar advanced up until 11% and it stayed there for a long time. (Better progress than yesterday where it stuck at 1%)
2. Then, in addition to previous action, I turned off the "Always check part overlaps on import" since I will always do that on my own after importing any CAD file into SIMSOLID. And to my relief, after sometime, it managed to load my STEP file.
Therefore, I would imagine that the "Use Parasolid Reader" option did played a role for my problem yesterday. On top of that, with the "Check overlaps part" option turned on, I think it added more problem during importing complex geometry.
Thank you again to you for helping. Cheers!
