Different beam diameters for Hypermesh

I am trying to simulate front impact and torsion tests using the Hypermesh 2022.3 version for a tubular chassis. Due to the nature of the model is necessary to convert the 3D CAD to a line model and make the tubes inside the software using the HYPERBEAM TOOL. One issue I stumble upon while preparing the pre process is the inability to use more than one beam section. I cant find any way to divert the beams to different components so I can implement different beam sections. I would like to know any possible solutions as I am planning in the future more complex analysis using suspensions arms and then moving on to setting up dynamic analysis using RADIOSS.

Thank you very much for your help

    Hi,

    Follow some tips:

    1) Make sure that each tube (with different diameter) are in different solids;

    2) So you can go to: Midlines and extract the center line for each tube (these lines will be our line mesh)

    3) Then you can go to 1D tool, select Solid Section instead of Elastic Section -> so, select "Section cut -> Solids". This tool will create a beam section.

    As a tip, you can use "True view" to align to the normal of the tube section, to help to extract the beam section.
