Hyperworks mouse left button problem

Hi,

A user was trying to extend a midsurface, and when he was trying to select two components as the tutorial did, he could´t do it because he couldn´t drag the mouse. He tried using Shift+Left button and drag, but nothing happened.

 

This image explains what he wanted to do, but he couldn´t.
