recommendations for running nFX

What are the recommendations for running nFX tools? There are 2 options I am considering

1) Install Linux Virtual machine on windows and use nFX/Simlab tool directly

or

2) Install a Linux terminal on windows via WSL and perform pre/post processing in Simlab and run nFX input file via Linux terminal.

    I know nothing about nFX.

    But from point of view of informatic, I would choose the first possibility. You can run Linux with VMware or Virtualbox (Oracle).

    For both, you need some "rock" hardware, mostly RAM & CPU to have some performance.
