HyperWorks 2020 crashing when starting
Hi. I just downloaded HyperWorks 2020 student version. I got the email with the license and download link. The installation process was smooth, and apparently successful, but when I try to open HyperWorks it loads the blue car image saying 'Loading HyperWorks General...' and then crashes. A tiny window opens with this message: Hyperworks has encountered and error and must now exit'. I downloaded again the executable from the mail link and installed everything again but i still get that message. If you have a solution to this problem, please let me know.

have you checked the checksum to make sure your installers were not corrupted?
checksum is a numeric code generated for a file and can be compared to your installer file, and both should match. If they match, at least your installer is not corrupted. Checksum can be checked by external software or even by using Windows PowerShell. (easist thing is to google for these commands).
Another thing that I see that causes some troubles is some antivirus/firewall blocking some part of the installation.
Other than that, does your machine covers the hardware requirements of HyperWorks?

Thanks for your reply. I checked the checksum and it matches. Also, the pc covers the requirements and antivirus didn't mess it up, as I reinstalled the software with everything disabled just in case. I have no Idea what else I could do.

Hello,
a student of mine encountered the same problem (Win10, everything else works fine). Could it be possible that there are problems with coexisting software (e.g. Autocad, or something else)? Does someone from Altair know something about this? Did you maybe solve the problem already?
