about lattice generation in Inspire

I know that the lattice can be generated by run FEA in Altair Inspire, which is very useful. Is it possible to change the lattice from triangular mesh to something like Hexagonal mesh? One more thing is that I am trying to generate the lattice on a shell like shape which the shell is only about 2 mm, I really want the lattice only generate one layer, but it looks like the program can only run as 3d rather than 2d, so that the layer will be at least two. Is it possible to decrease the layer?
