Composite Plies
When trying to run an Analysis with COMPOSITES I get the following error:
*** ERROR # 1901 *** in the input data:
STACK must have either a list of PLYs or substacking data.
Where do I define the list of Plies for the STACK? I have defined PLIES for the properties.
Any help would be appreciated.

Bernt,
This is where you add it. Let me know if that fixes your problem.
Thanks,
Ben

Thanks for the answer. Maybe I am screwing things up, but I cannot find the page you are showing. This is what I get:
I'm quite new to HyperMesh, so I need to be fed with teaspoons:-)

By the way, where do I find STACK in HyperMesh?

STACK is found as a laminate. I am using HW 2021.2 but should be similar to whatever version you are using.
If you change the type option from "Interface laminate" to "ply laminate" you will have the options I show.

I got back to my Composite challenge. For some reason, I don't get the same possibilites as you do. I cannot find the place I enter the PLYID.

What version are you using? Do you have access to 2021.2?

Are you using a PCOMPP property card?

Hi Ben
I use 2021 version. I have access to 2021.2 but have not used it for this project. Yes, I am using the PCOMPP property card.
Should I switch to using the 2021.2 version?

Thanks for your patience I probably confused things a little.
The easiest way (IMO) to deal with composites is in the composites browser. I prefer to use HyperWorks where this is located on the model ribbon. You can also get to it in HyperMesh under View>Browsers>HyperMesh>Composites.
Once there any plies that are not assigned to a laminate will be in an "Unstacked Plies" folder in the tree. You can then drag and drop plies into the different laminates, reorder them by dragging and dropping and do many other modifications.

You have not confused me, but helped me. Thank you!
After some days now on another urgent matter, I am back to my composite case. So I am now using HyperWorks 2021.2. I will see if I now can get around the problem.
