Hi,

I am new to Altair Flux and want to know if we can display electron trajectories subject to an electric field. I am looking to simulate the components of a transmission electron microscope with its electron gun and magnetic lens.

Thanks!

    Hello Lucien;

    You can use electrostatic application or electric transient application. You can impose position of the object and get the forces on it. But there is no possibility to impose a speed in the transient electric application.

    The other issue you may have is the geometry it self of the electron, since it is too small, you may have some trouble to define it in Flux.

    I hope this will help you

    Best regards
