Free edges

Hi,
please use the Geom>edge edit>replace, specify proper tolerance and zoom in sufficiently to pick both overlapping edges. This can also be done with toggle (in the same panel), but does not provide the same control.

Hi Ivan,
There is only one edge! Replace- When I select edge on the two opposite faces, it says different edges must be specified. I have tried toggle and suppress as well, it does not seem to work!

Hi,
Any suggestions?

Can you check or clean up your geometry. Its because the geometry is distorted and that is why you are not able to equivalence the free edges.
Thanks

you should first imprint the honeycomb free edges on the face plates using geom>surface edit>trim with lines>with lines
and then perform replace edge to get manifold and shared edges:

Here is the edited model, however it is just a strart and far from perfect

Hello vishruthdilip ,
You can removw all those free edges in one go. Follow the below steps :
Goem -> Surface_Edit -> trim with surfs/planes -> self intersecting surfs
Select all the surfaces which you want and click on trim.
Magic is completed.
Hope it helped.

Brahmadev.

Hi,
try Geom>edge edit>replace. Check if there are duplicate surfaces with Geom>defeature>duplicates.
Share the model if the issue persists.

Hi,
You can also try Geom> surface edit> trim with surfs/planes> self intersecting surfs (select the surfaces) > trim

Hi Julio
Also, try geometry > surface edit > extend.
Select all the surface and click on extend
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

I'm really grateful for the early and helpful answers you all gave me.
I could finally fix the problem with Geom> surface edit> trim with surfs/planes> self intersecting surfs (select the surfaces) > trim
This 'Geom>edge edit>replace' didn't work as the message 'Couldn't stitch to the gap' was shown, and the gap was too big. Tutorial was helpful, and i will keep it.
I had also tried geometry > surface edit > extend, but when extended i was loosing information about the edges (instead of a yellow line, I was obtaining a grey line).
Here I show you the model fixed. Thanks again.
