Line Connector Settings

I'm trying to create a connector that I can toggle between RBE2/shell generation, and I can't figure out how to get either of them to realize properly.

Which connector setting controls the RBE2 attachment on the outer edge/surface? I'm trying to create RBE2 elements as shown in dotted orange, but the red RBE2's are what I'm getting with the settings shown below. Note that I want to avoid creating RBE2's in the green arrow directions shown:

I have not gotten a successful realization with the shell LTB connector. The brown part is a thin shell layer that envelopes a tetramesh solid (2nd order elements), and when I try to generate a shell LTB mesh from the first order blue shell mesh I get this error. Since both components have material and property assigned, I don't know what to try next:

Here are the LTB connector settings:

    Hello Mandy,

Is the brown shell component attached to the solid mesh beneath it? What is its thickness?

I see that for the LTB connection, you're using vertical + angled. Is this the intended result?

The links in the connector are the shell components, right?

I mocked your model up, but feel free to share it if you're able.

    Kind regards,
    Paulo Libório.
