Hypermesh Parts Browser Assembly Suppression
Hello,
I've recently transitioned from using the assembly browser to the parts browser to manage my models. I would like to turn subassemblies on and off for different load cases without using subsystems or include files. In the past, I've used the entity state browser to activate/deactivate assemblies before exporting solver decks, but parts assemblies are not one of the options in the entity state browser. I tried representations>unload, but I was not able to recover the unloaded assembly afterward.
Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hello Mandy,
Happy new year!
That's actually the suggested way. If you cannot load parts after unloading them, It means they're not available. You'd first need to save them as a representation. Please check the video I'm attaching, I believe that answers your question.

Paulo,
I built a simple test model and used the method in the provided video. It worked as expected. When I try the same method on the large (and messy) model I'm working on, it does not work. The "ok" of the "save representation" step that starts at time = 47sec int he video does not result in the generation of representations. The "Save Representation" window just closes and no changes are made. There is no message in the bottom left of the screen to indicate an error or otherwise.
Unfortunately, I can't provide the model. Do you have any suggestions for what might be wrong with my large model that would prevent representation generation?
Thanks,
Mandy
