Cogging torque not periodic in 3D sim

Hi,

 

I am simulating a 3D SPM motor, but the cogging torque is not periodic. The cogging torque period should be 2 deg, as the 2D sim confirmed.

 

Attached the 3D model.

    Hi,

    Youi will find attached a pdf file explain how to mesh the air gap to get a periodic cogging torque. This document is available in Altair connect. To get it:

    • Connect to Altair connect

    • Select : documentation

    • In search put: flux cogging torque
