tire marker for a steering wheel
Hello
I have a general doubt about the tire marker to be used for tires. I have always used a global frame but now my doubt comes when I allow the front tires to steer. Should I use a local marker? How will the lateral slip consider the steer angle I set?

Hi Luca,
For the creation of an AutoTire entity, you must specify the hub body, wheel center point, tire marker, and road marker. The tire marker Y axis must be aligned along the spindle axis to account for the inclination angles of the tire and must be attached to the same hub body, as to move with the tire as it is steered.
If we look at the sedan model, we can see the definition of the front tire pair:
And if we look closer at the Front Tire Force Reference marker:
You can see it is attached to the same hub body (Wheel) and aligned using a vector pair called Front Spindle.
Hope this helps!

Hello Adam!!
curious I was looking at that example indeed.
I am simulating a steering aircraft, setting a steer angle at the nose gear. It came in my mind only today I have to be careful with tire markers.
Thanks a lot!!
