Using Hypermesh's NastranMSC profile to generate MNF flexbody files for Adams

Hello,

I have a rather complex Hypermesh model of a machine part that I have built for Adams MNF output using the Optistruct profile. What I wanna do now is to use the NastranMSC profile to output solver directions to solve my existing Hypermesh model in Nastran and generate MNF for Adams with Nastran. I have two questions at this point:

1) If possible, I'd like to turn my Hypermesh (Optistruct) model into a Hypermesh (NastranMSC) model to generate Adams MNF output. How can I achieve that?

2) If 1) is not possible, then where can I find proper documentation and examples showing how I can create Adams MNF output using Hypermesh (NastranMSC) profile?

Thanks for your response. I have read all of the posts in the thread you've shared. The thread discusses how to generate mnf files using Hypermesh (Optistruct). But what I really wanna do is to generate mnf files using Hypermesh (Nastran). So I don't wanna use Optistruct as the solver, but instead, I wanna use Nastran. I need help on how to create Hypermesh (Nastran) models to solve in Nastran and generate mnf files for Adams.

More schematically, my work flow will be like this: Hypermesh (Nastran) [pre-proc, that's where I need help] -> Nastran (solver) -> MNF Output -> MSC Adams (MBD)

So I'd like to get more information about how I can use Hypermesh (Nastran) to generate mnf files. I know how to do it with Hypermesh (Optistruct) bu the nastran profile doesn't have cards like CMSMETH. Thank you very much for your time.

I don't see any way to request the .MNF output file through Nastran user profile.

If you know, what card gives the .MNF output, you can write this card in the Nastran Input file (Edit the file and manually write a line to request .MNF output).

It could work if I try to manually add the mnf output directions in the nastran input file as you said, but that would be very manual. Though I might just have to do it in the end, I was hoping that the Hypermesh (Nastran) profile already had a way to allow for mnf generation.

Sorry for the late reply. I checked with our experts and they said there is no option to get .mnf output. It has to be done manually only.
