is it possible to have a summary export distributed among multiple tabs that has a file name with the date variable?
My summary report exports correctly into multiple tabs based on distinct value of first key with a constant file name. When I add the current date variable to the exported file name, the file is created without interpreting the value for date variable. For example, the file is created as &[mm]&[dd]&[yy]_SummaryExport.xlsx rather than 013119_SummaryExport.xlsx.
The converse is also true. I have a detail file that exports correctly with a date variable in the file name.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi Ann,I'll look into this. They are not mutually exclusive, as far as I know. Which version of Automator are you using? Is it a standard or Visual process? In the meantime, you should be able to export with a static file name, then add a distribution to include the date macro.Regards,Steve.------------------------------Steve CaielsProfessional ServiceDatawatch Corporation+44 203 868 0253-------------------------------------------------------------------------Original Message:Sent: 01-31-2019 11:10 AMFrom: Ann StapanowichSubject: Summary Report exported into multiple tabs and naming macro for date in exported file name problem is it possible to have a summary export distributed among multiple tabs that has a file name with the date variable?
