I created my first workspace to extract pdf data, but now I am trying to save it as a model so that I can apply it to other pdf files with the same format.
Data Prep Studio files are saved as Workspaces. Once you create your templates to extract data from a pdf file in Data Prep Studio, you save it as a Workspace and that workspace is what you use for more or multiple of that pdf.
A Model is when you create your templates in Monarch Classic. You save your work as a Model.
Key points
You can build a Monarch Classic model and always drag and drop that into Data Prep Studio.
If you build a Data Prep Studio Workspace you cannot open it in Monarch Classic.
If you’d like to learn more about the differences between Monarch Classic and the Data Prep Studio check out that section in the Monarch Success Plan blog post.
