hello everyone,

I'm simulating a car model with helix wire antenna placed inside it and needs to get radiation pattern for antenna under car model effect, I'm trying MoM with HOBF of 3.5 order, but error is popping up as shown in attached, if someone can help if with the problem it will be very helpful.

Antenna is covered with rubber cover with  a circular PEC placed at bottom with operating frequency 0f 440MHz. I have placed antenna at the surface of car.

    Hello Sweta,

Please let me know the computational resources of the computer you are using to simulate.

Please keep in mind that depending on the number of unknowns, one needs to carefully choose an appropriate solver to stay within the available computer memory. The best solver for solving an entire automobile is MLFMM. This does not consumer huge memory in comparison with conventional MoM. I suggest to try this solver.

You can assign MLFMM by clicking on solver settings and checking solve model with the multilevel fast multipole method (MLFMM).

    Hi mel,

Thank you for responding to the question and sharing the videos, it was insightful. For this I had created ffe file and imported in car and applied MLFMM , with this method I was able to simulate it without any error.

In beginning I had trouble posting question so I asked my friend to post that, also by mistake posted this question multiple times as it was showing error, I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

    Hello @Saranraj Karuppuswami ,

Thank you for the reply, yes since antenna part was creating too many small triangles during the meshing I was advised to import ffe file and simulate under MLFMM solver and through this method I was able to get result.
