SimSolid 2022.0.1 Crashes Out Constantly

It has been a few months that my SimSolid keeps crashing 5 or 6 times a day at least randomly. It is really frustrating and time consuming. I have contacted the support team and all drivers on the computer are up to date. Any ideas what is going on please? Anyone else having the same issue?

 

Additionally the results never seem to converge either when using separation contacts, why is this?

Hello,

At what stage is it crashing? Is it during product invoke or loading a model/ssp or during solution?

what are your contact types? If you are using a separating/closing contact, SimSolid requires a initial contact, something like a hertz contact to achieve convergence.

the crashes are random, sometime when I import a model, sometime during solving, sometime when I am using virtual pin connections or other contacts, sometime when I am looking at the results and soon as I click animation it crashes etc like I said very random.

 

I have separating contacts as well as separating and closing. I am not sure what you mean by hertz contact, if it is easier, we can set up a virtual call and you can try for yourself to see the results won’t converge.

Thank you for commenting on this issue, I thought I was the only one having problems with 2022. Yes, Simsolid 2022 crashes constantly and I'm also finding that solutions don't converge when running with contact. I've gone back to 2021 and have no issues with stability or convergence.

Still no solution, I think I am going to give up on SimSolid 2022.
