edempy Collision modules enquiry
Hi,
I am wondering about the criteria for determining collision and SGCollision and SSCollision modules.
Currently, I am applying external API force as the cohesive force during the particle agglomeration phenomenon. Therefore, it is conceivable that during the formation of granules, the collision forces might be overshadowed by the cohesive forces. In such instances, would it be appropriate to continue categorizing the interactions among particles as collisions? Furthermore, should these interactions indeed qualify as collisions, would it be feasible to utilize the Collision module provided by edempy to manage these interactions?
Best Regards,
Yu

Hi Yu,
By default EDEM doesn't store collision data, it only stores contact data. To record collision data you have to enable the track collisions option in the simulator. If that is not enabled, you won't have access to collision data then you won't be able to use the SGCollision and SSCollision modules.
