How to create particle size distribution figure in granulator system

Dear Officer,

I applied Hertz-Mindlin with JKR2 model to simulate the capillary force between particles in a granulator system. and would like to see the final particle size distribution figure to analyze the results. However, when I chose diameter under the primary attribute in the analyst tree, the figure indicates the diameter for the single particle, not the granule size. Therefore, are there any alternative ways to analyze the granule (agglomerate) size distribution at the output?

Thank you for your kind help and consideration in advance!!

Best Regards,

Yu

    Hi Yu,

We don't have an in-built feature for looking at size of agglomerates within EDEM directly.  If you build a meta-particle and solve using bonding v2 there are new analysis methods in EDEM 2022.2 that allow you to investigate the size of the bonded structure.
