How to run further an optimization which has already finished

Hi, I am running an optimization and the values started to converge at the end of the optimization. The optimization is done and I would like to run it further so it converges nicely but without having to delete everything. Is there a way to do this?

Hello Jaime,

If my understanding of what you'd like to do is correct, I'd suggest to continue the optimization by including the evaluations already done. Which method are you using?

Please find below an article dealing with the way to continue an optimization by using Inclusion Matrix functionality. The way to proceed is the same if an optimization has been stopped, or if it has been finished and one would like to continue to see if further improvement can be achieved.

Hi Jaime,

Thans for your feedback. I'm glad to hear that it works as you wanted.

Note that you can repeat this process several times if you want. It works also if you change the variables bounds in the next optimization approach, you can still leverage the previous evaluations.
