I am trying to create a single model for bank statements in PDF format. Visually, the PDFs are the exact same format, etc. However when retrieving data via PDF Report, Monarch is reading the file different each month. I have tried multiple engines and versions. The expected behavior is that the data is retrieved based on the traps and the only variable is the month.

    Hi Melissa,

Are you using floating traps? Which bank statement is it for? We do have some models for some bank statements, but they aren’t in the model library yet.

    Hi Melissa,

What you need to check is what PDF engine or fonts are used to create the PDF files.

Open each PDF in Adobe Acrobat  Reader, select File, properties and inspect PDF producer under the Description tab and Fonts under the Fonts tab.

I suspect they are different, or at least the fonts are different, and this could be the reason that Monarch renders characters differently for each PDFs.

    Regards
