FEM Port Definition

Hello

I have designed a circular loop antenna (attached the FEKO CAD file).

I have defined a FEM port for it and when I try to simulate it, I get the following error:

"ERROR 36195: Modal ports can only be used on the boundary of a FEM region"

What is the reason for this error in my design?

Hello,

It appears that you may not have FEM selected as the solution method for the simulation (I see there are 0 FEM tetrahedrals in the mesh information in POSTFEKO). In solution settings in CADFEKO there is a FEM tab for you to enable the FEM solution method. The FEM Modal and Line ports are only allowed for the FEM method and not other solvers.

Hi @Sem z ,

Feel free to attach your model, so I can have a look. Evan is absolutely right though, you have to select FEM as solver for regions in CADFEKO to use FEM.
