Is it possible to define the FEKO model so that there is an infinite PEC ‘groundplane’ present, With part of the starting shape physically connected to the PEC plane?
In other words, Can the infinite groundplane be part of the Z-matrix? (example: when we start any random physical shape (object) in CADFEKO,  then define an infinite ground plane at the same file,

. can this groundplane be part of this starting shape?

. can it be part of the Z-matrix? Can FEKO apply the mesh on this groundplane? or in otherworld: can we change the specx of this groundplane to PEC? if so, we can mesh it? am I right?

so in this case, the Z-matrix contain the starting shape and the infinite groundplane ?

Let me share my answers to your questions.

    1) Yes, the infinite PEC ground plane can be physically connected to part(s) of the whole geometry.

    2) No, the PEC ground plane cannot be meshed. The PEC's EM effects can be considered by solving the analytic formula (Green Functions.)... not by numerical analysis (MoM or FEM).

    3) So Z matrix (in Feko) includes only the rest of the geometry except the infinite ground plane.

I hope it will be helpful.

    Thank you.

    Very well done. Thanks Kim.
