I am a new bee working in the Lab as a masters student and i am trying to design a 3 phase transformer from the examples in 3D. please how can i get the values for the copper and iron loss because the pdf provided for the 3 phase transformer example did not provide that. also i would appreciate if there is a video that show how this is implemented so that i can further my research. thank you as i await your response

What Altair product are you using so that I can direct your question to the proper forum.

Hi Peter,
You can compute :
- Copper losses can be computed by creating a sensor on losses by the Joule effect and selecting the coil conductors you assigned to transformer coils.
- Core iron losses can be computed using our iron losses model in Altair Flux. You can find the explanation in the video: https://youtu.be/8_I2SHCKqfY?si=zDndc2nWMTPMhjhP
Thank you,
Lavanya
