When I tried to open EDEM to view my simulation, the software crashes. I do not understand why this keeps happening. Please advise.
Hi Kiran,I believe you have previously had EDEM running, has something changed such as using a different machine or version of EDEM? Does this happen with every opening of EDEM or a specific file?
If it is just 1 file it maybe corrupt or if copied from another location all the data may not have been copied over. Sometimes the simulation_name.dfg file can cause problems as this contains all the simulator and analyst settings, if you rename or delete this and try opening the simulation again this may help.Regards

The software was working all right before I did a regular Windows update.The software version has not been changed. The files I believe have not been corrupted. Regards,Kiran

Hi Kiran,To confirm EDEM is crashing on opening a blank file, and doesn't get to fully open?
This sounds like a graphics problem, it maybe that windows has updated some components but you need to also update your drivers on your graphics cards to match the latest version.
Also can you check if your computer is using the correct default graphics card, this can be set via:
