Hi,
I see this error message on EDEM (image attached below), when I try to export my cutom CGNS for the tutorial. There is no mention of what format the CGNS file has been exported in. Is it asking me to export the velocity files in just one coordinate axis?
Hi Kiran,
The message indicates that you have a magnitude rather than a vector field. You may be able to export the individual components to 1 file or you could try exporting as a .txt file and import that.
Text file format is detailed here:

Hello,
I have a .cgns file for velocity and vorticity, but the tutorial 18 also comes with similar .cgns files.
Do you still suggest me to import a .txt file?'
Thanks,Kiran
This is the error I get when I try to import the ASCII file from ansys as a text file.
Hi, This is the error I get when I try to import the ASCII file from ansys as a text file.
The .txt option is useful as you can configure it so it marches the link. Specifically for the error is the data formatted correctly, do the columns of positions match the vector data?

Hey Stepen,
I think I did a mistake there, all my ASCII exports from fluent look like the image I've attached.I found what the issue was, I forgot importing the velocity X, velocity Y and velocity Z.Then I changed the first column to suit this format
