How to create a cube with a conforming face on top of an organic object?

I have an organic object, let's say it's a bone like the tibia. I want to create a box on top of that bone. I have the .iges file of the bone. How do I generate a cube with one face that conforms the top of the bone? For context, I know how to turn the iges file into a tetra mesh but I am not quite sure how to create a box with a conforming face to the bone. Would anyone have an idea how to pull this off? I want to do this in only Hypermesh because I am already using multiple programs in my project.

    Hello,

Not entirely sure what you mean. Can you provide an image?

Are you trying to have a matching mesh or matching topology (geometry) from bone to cube?

If you need matching topology/geometry you could try boolean with the cube and bone geomtery.

If you need matching mesh you can copy/paste the mesh of the bone to the cube and associate the nodes to geometry.

However, I am having a hard time visualizing what you need.

    Hi!

    image

Would this be a better picture?

I would have a bone mesh and then a cube encapsulating it.
