Bundle missing after free size

Hello,

when i do a composite free size optimization with 4 bundle per orientation and import the resulting sizing.fem all of the 100 and 200 plies are missing. With that mainly all the bigger plies are gone and only the smaller and thicker patches of the XXX300 and XXX400 id's are left.

With checking the results of free size with hyperview, i can see that there are thin plies generated over the whole surface of my part.

My guess now is, that there must be an option, that deletes a bundle when the thickness in the free size optimization is getting to thin.

Can you help me with that problem?

Thank you in advance!

    Hey Kai,

Have a look at your free size OUTPUT card. There should be an option for IGNORE.

Try change that to blank if it is set to ignore.

    It should fix your problem.

As per help doc: 'Ignore: Elements may be ignored in a given ply orientation when their thickness is less than 5% of the maximum thickness. This option is inactive by default'

    Hope this helps.
